nite hunt question

At the start of your cast , the idiot next to you says strike my dog , but you know only your hound opened. What are your options.

Judge should give him a warning 2nd time scratched
If it’s 100% obvious that he struck your dog ,, he should take a minus. For the position he struck your dog and your dog gets that position

No not correct. It is now warning for first offense, minus the 2nd and then scratched on the 3rd.

2. (d) Other: Dog must open and be heard opening when
declared struck or treed. Otherwise, call may not
be accepted. Points may be split for position when
called positions cannot be determined. A handler
calling the wrong dog on first offense results in a
warning issued and no points assigned. On second
offense, the available position is minused. On third
offense, dog is scratched.

Check your PMs when you get a chance. Thanks.

I’d strike my dog in on the same bark. If the judge says anything just tell him it’s your dog that’s barking. Point it out to the judge that he struck your dog in and the judge will pay attention next time. The judge can’t take your word for it on the first drop because he doesn’t know the dogs yet
