Closed Tree Question??

If Dog A,B and C are all treed and after the tree is closed Dog D comes in to the tree and is not declared treed how many minus points does Dog D get?

I'm not 100% on this but I think if dog D is treed when you arrive at tree but not called tree then the following would take place...

Coon is seen.

D is minused strike points plus given next available tree points (25) and minused those. So if dog D had first strike he would get -125 points.

Same on slick tree and off game (scratched for off game if champion cast).

If circle tree, strike points are circled but no tree points are given.

Points are NEVER assigned if coon is seen. D would get minus strike points.

If tree is slick or off game is seen, then D WOULD be assigned tree pts. & both would minused. This is the ONLY time tree points are EVER assigned to a dog at tree/treeing when judge arrives at tree. On CH casts all dogs would be scratched if off game was seen. Take care, Ron.

Rollin Blues has the correct answer with exception to the very last sentence that may or may not be correct.

He's correct in that Champs get scratched if there's off game in the tree. But only those that are at the tree treeing when the judge arrives. If a Champion dog comes in after the judge arrives, Rule 5B applies to the dog.
