Couple questions skin/hair/coat

All dogs are eating the same dog food, wormer, water, bedding, and same bloodline.

What are your thoughts on a dog with a very oily hair coat?

What are your thoughts on a dog with dry flaky skin?

Any ideas on a way to remedy both?

Just because dogs are all from the same bloodline and on identical diets doesn't mean they will be in the exact condition. There are many other factors that come into play. Age, sex and various hormone production being to major ones. Dog diets just like humans are not a one size fits all.

A dog with a coarse coat or dry flaky skin could have a thyroid problem. Since people don't hunt pets, hair and skin condition is the first sign of a low thyroid level.
