My alpha will power on and I can go to settings but it won't let me pull up maps or track settings it shows red color wherr maps are but won't let me pull up

Not sure I understand. Are you saying the screen is RED? Is it Red no matter what you scroll to? That could be a the screen itself damaged from pressure on it. Being bumped or dropped. I had seen orange sports on them from being damaged but not the entire screen red or orange.

It has never been dropped or bumped that I know of red color is on the top where map and pointer are but funny thing when u move the system like side to side in your hand the screen tries to move with you like the movie t is affecting it

Just an update for others reading. This gentleman called and after a few questions we figured out there was some sand or foreign material around the edge keeping the touch screen pressed.

Thanks again for the help Bruce I meant to get on here earlier and say that is got tied up but I appreciate you taking time to talk and help me out . Now I just got to go back and reset everything where I did a factory reset on it but just glad that k the Lord it works again lol
