Transferring ownership when a dog owner has died?
A friend of ours passed away and he told his family that if anything happened to him he wanted us to have back a bluetick he got from us
So we are buying the dog from his daughter - how does it work to transfer the dog to our name when our friend has passed away so can't sign the papers?
I would post this in registration that way someone from UKC will answer
Would say that
Who ever has the power of attorney

I've been thru this. Ukc said who ever had power of attorney. In our case the young man had no will his dad took care of everything. The mans daughter or his wife should be able to sign off on the papers have them contact Ukc and explain it to them
