Fair weather hunters.. WE ARE NOT!

Last night, during a winter storm advisory, Damon Shivers and myself decided to Harass the rutting coon. We turned loose Gr. Nite Ch. W.Ch. Ch. Shivers Magic Buckeye and Gr Ch Nite Ch Lethal Blue Betty Jane. Being gone over 600 yards, they struck and ran the coon hard. We drove as close as we could and off we went.








Big den. With most sitting watching the pro-bowl, we were out in it, making coondogs.



2 more drops produced nothing, so as we were calling the dogs in, took this pic. The fastest I drove home was 35 mph on the expressway. A fluke? Naw...


This is Buckeye's Mom, Nite Ch Shivers Rushcreek Shelly, the night before in a freezing rain. At almost 12 years old, She can still get it done.
We have a simple philosophy, Run them when it is super tough, you never know what you have till you do. Treeing easy cub coon in September doesn't make a coon dog.. this does.
