? About strange behavior

My buddy has a 4 or 5 year old Wagner bred b&t was always a stay put tree dog but since the beginning of this season he has been leaving tree. He has also turned ill with other male dogs and when he is on the box at the house all he does is try to chew his chain into. This all started just before season and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what could've caused this behavior. Thanks

I would take him to the vet for a check up. It sounds as if something is hurting, possibly teeth or ears.

He has been checked and is healthy as can be. It seems like he just went nuts.
