coonhunting around Gainesville, FL?

Are there any folks that coonhound in this area and run their dogs in nite hunts?

Yes Sir we do. There is a club in Citra which is fairly close to you. I live over in Palatka and hunt about 5 nights a week and your welcome to come over here which is about 60 miles from you. Couple guys in stark also.

Don't live in Gainesville yet. Just trying to get a feel if my husband and I do decide to move there, if there are people to train with on a regular basis and a club nearby. Citra looks close on map for sure. But are there any folks closer than 2 hrs away? Thanks.

I am a member of the citra club and it is no more then 30 min from gainesville. We generally host 2 to 4 hunts a month and have a meeting on the third Monday of every month at gander mountain in ocala. You would be more then welcome to join us.
