Dog hoarse when he trees?
Has anyone ever had a dog that runs track good but when they tree they get hoarse. My dog will run track fine but when he tilts his head back to tree his voice goes hoarse. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

Yes usually from pulling on the lead or to tight of an e collar.
Try benadryl for a couple days and see if he improves, if not I would get a hold of some prednisone.

I had a dog that would CHOKE down on the tree. Had a good bawl on track and when he got to the tree he was hard to hear. It was before tracking collars and I lost him many times. There was nothing wrong with his voice, it was what his tree bark (voice) was. He was like that from the time he started till he died.
PS: I made him a NT Ch, but that was when I was young and could hear.
