Fleas

I had a flea problem and I bought Permethrin-10. Can you put it on the dog and if so how much do you put on the dog or do you just spray the kennel with it?

some people use it straight out of the bottle down the back [ about 3cc is what I heard ] I all ways just mix my spray according to the instructions and spray kennels , dogs and all . after that I mix up some more permethrin 10% and add a product called MARTIN'S I.G. REGULATOR and spray around the perimeter of the kennels to sterilize newly hatched eggs and juvenile fleas and break up the hatch cycle . you'll be amazed at how ell it works .

I just did all of my dogs the other day. I mixed it just as the instructions said and 3 out of the 7 now have what looks like hotspots. I don't know if it irritated the skin to bad or what. Seems like a bad hair cut, fix one thing and then another shows up.

that's odd whity , I've been using it since forever and never had any problems , I even wipe down 2 week old pups with a damp rag dipped in it with no problems . they may have started scratching themselves when the fleas that were on them started moving around .

I wish I had a good answer Robert. The dogs that got irritated I don't think even had fleas. I got a new dog and noticed some on it so I said heck might as well do them all. I know of a bunch of people that use permethrin also with no ill affects but I don't know what else would have caused it. Maybe I botched my mixture but I would bet the farm I did it right.
