coon pen
i've never seen one or used one im just wondering what is it like? and how big are they and does the coon live in there or do you put one in there then turn the dog aloose??

kinda like hunting on a bucket, only you're pretty sure of whats on it when you turn hound loose.
Most pens that I have seen are anywhere from 20-40 acres fenced in so that the coons can't get out ( hot wire ) most pens will have feeders buckets in them as that small of an area is not naturally equipped to feed the amount of coons per acre. Just bc you hunt in a pen doesn't mean you are gonna tree the fire out of them every night. Sometimes you can tree 4-6 in an hour and sometimes it's hard to get a bark.
