Prolite
I have a Platinum Pro 28 Belt Light
For awhile it hasn't been working right - getting way to hot and on lower settings would shut off after a couple minutes and would only stay on constant on the highest setting.
The other night I blew a bulb just after getting in the woods. Got another bulb and it blew within 5 min
I am thinking it has something to do with the rheostat but no way to know for sure.
Does anyone know if you can get replacement parts for these lights or can they be sent out to be fixed? Its a $300 + dollar light new and this only a little over a yr old
If it is that new it likely is under warranty, try visiting www.prolitecustom.com
Prolite has a great warranty and based on my experiences they will treat you right regarding the repair.
On a side note I suspect from your description you may have a short, I had a Foggy top that was getting hot and blowing bulbs randomly, it was a short in the cord. It's usually something simple....
