Any coonhunters in North Chicago area

I have been working at the North Chicago VA Hospital and Great Lakes Navy Clinic for the past year. We are doing our final work the 1st half of December. I would like to bring my hound with me and do some hunting. Anybody have an open kennel and wouldn't mind having me tag along on some hunts? I will be staying at the Lincolnshire Marriott.

Jason i spent one winter on that lake up there north of chicago at great lakes naval base an believe me it will be COLD an WINDY.good luck if you was closer you could go with me.

Thanks Eric. I have been up there a few times since January and I know it can be rough. Hope I can a little hunting up there, because I have a dog that I feel I can do some winning with and I need to keep him tuned up so I can start his competition hunting career.

If you get west of Rockford or near Madison, WI, I can get you to the woods, depending on my schedule. North Chicago....that's a tough one. I don't know any hunters in that area. Can't be much in the way of land to get permission to hunt on there, either.

Thanks Grant. Madison looks like it is 2.5 hours from North Chicago. Not sure if I will be able to make the drive, but I will let you know. Thanks again.
