Forms For Master Of Hounds Test

I WAS WONDERING IF YOU CAN PRINT THE TEST FOR MASTER OF HOUNDS AND BENCH SHOW JUDGE OFF THE WEB SITE HERE OR IF YOU HAVE TO CALL THEM. I GO TO WORK EARLY AND DONT GET OFF UNTIL THEIR CLOSED SO I NEED TO FIGURE A WAY TO GET THE TEST. WE HAVE A GOOD CLUB, BUT I NEED TO GET MY LICENSES SO IT DOESNT COST US SO MUCH TO HAVE HUNTS AND SHOWS. YOU KNOW HOW IT IS, SOME TIMES YOU HAVE A BUNCH AND SOME TIMES JUST A FEW. ANY HELP WOULD BE HELPFUL.

There are a couple hoops to jump through first

First you have to request an application, which your club officers have to sign stating that they feel you are worthy of becoming a MOH. That application then is submitted to UKC. Then you will be mailed the test which you have to take with no help. lol You send that in and if you pass, you will then be mailed three apprentice forms for the MOH's to sign that you apprentice under. Oh, there is a fee that has to be sent in with your application.

While i can understand your position, i do feel the fee is a necessary evil. If not for the fee, the UKC would be sending out hundreds of these forms , and getting only a few serious minded men and women's forms back. The cost of them could get kinda high. I also believe that the fee keeps the applicant's focused. While the $15.00 is not that much, if i am going to spend my money on something, then i will prepare myself to make sure i pass, and take the license serious. MOH/BS are big steps, that not everyone can or even should do. The fee helps weed out the serious ones from the ones who only want a title to use in arguements during cast. I applaude each and every MOH and BS for their efferts to help keep this sport running. It is a thank-less job, but at the end of the day, i'd bet most feel rewarded when the hunt/show is a sucessful one.
