Lost ground..a major bummer...

..well it was bound to happen. Nice hunting spot I have been hunting on since I was 6. Go to cut a dog loose..and BOOM..big ole NO TRESPASSING..NEW GATE WITH LOCK ON IT..called the farmer to see what was up. Well I leased that ground to some deer hunters so STAY OUT. Getting to where you can't hunt anywhere except on game reserves.

Thanks to Mossy Oak, and all big Deer hunting shows!!!! Because of them, and there corporate demise everybody is a bigshot deerhunter. I'm glad we have more lazy shot gun deerhunters in my area, and not the premadonna hunters! Sorry deerhunters, just my opinion. Not all deerhunters hate coonhunters, but most do, just don't say anything bad about them.

I was just telling one of my buddies the other nite that deer hunting is going down hill, now that everyone thinks you have to kill a 180s class buck to be a deer hunter. Land leases, and rich hunters make it dang tough for us guys that dont have the money to own the land. I am just glad there is a lot of Cons. land around us.

That's no joke, you have all these "weekend deerhunters" that think they know it all by reading Outdoor Life and Whitetail magazine. They don't know squat about real hunting, they lease land, put out food plots and think they're Davy Crockett. They buy a elephant gun to shoot a 200 lb. deer. I'm glad im involved with agriculture, because if you aren't, hunting land could be hard to comeby in the next 30-40 years. Gonna turn into England, I hope not but they sure aren't giving us more land. Here in Kansas, they have a Walk-in Hunting program that I think is a good idea.

Sorry to hear about your loss skinner. I know how ya feel. Very dissapointing. I've heard many people say that in years to come the most sought after and expensive dog will be the one that hunts for you but NOT DEEP. Who knows, they may be right one day.
