kids world hunt questoins???
where? when? do you send in an advanced entery or do you enter your dog at the hunt?
Kids World is held on June 26th, 2009 in Brazil, IN....
Schedule is as follows and NO you do not need to send in an advanced entry for the Nite Hunt, it is also a Youth Qualifier. If you place, you will be qualified for Youth Nationals in July...
UKC Bench Show: 10 am $8
UKC Water Race: 2 pm $8
UKC Field Trial: 5 pm $8
UKC Nite Hunt: 8:30 pm $8
There is a full color ad in the May '09 issue of Coonhound Bloodlines on pages 46-47, you can look there for all the info....
This should be a great time for all who attend....

thanks, only get the cooner, is there a final 4 or not ? can you tell me a little more about how this hunt works?
It is a one hour hunt using UKC Youth Championship Event Rules (you can find these on page 102 of the UKC Rulebook), they have places 1st - 10th, no final four. The Top 10 will receive a Cajun Light and will be qualified for the Youth National Championship...Also, here is a link to the Youth Rules... http://www.ukcdogs.com/WebSite.nsf/...dSeriesOfficial
I think the rules are pretty much the same as an RQE, all dogs are drawn out together regardless of titles and NITECH/GRNITECH rules apply. The age groups for kids are 5-12 yrs old and 13-17....Only adult, non-hunting judges over 18 will be used. Spectators cannot, by word of mouth or action, assist handler or dog in any way and the Judge can order the removal of a spectator. Children should not be judged by their parents or members of immediate family.....I think that covers most of it....
