.22 pistol
Just wondering if any body has ever Coin hunted with one or has ever thought about. I'm debating whether to try it or not opinions would be appreciated
I use a ruger MKII in stainless with a 6 nch barrel and crimson trace laser grips. I like it.

I use either a berreta neos semi auto with a red dot scope or a ruger single six with open sights. I will never carry a rifle again. The only down side is they are a little loud for pups but if ya spend some time getting them use to it, it's not a problem.

I use the ruger hunter with crimson trace grips. Switching to Browning buckmark and some crimson trace grips off of a 1911.

Jdhillbilly.........do u have any trouble seeing the open sights on your single six in the dark?
I hunt with a ruger 22 auto heavy 7" barrel.. reliable and accurate.. I hunt with open sights and do just fine. the crack is louder than a rifle but the size and length of the barrel muffle the noise a bit. Some of my hunting friends dont like that one being shot around thier dogs but has never effected any of mine. I quit hunting with my rifles 15 years ago and dont miss carrying them.
I use a ruger markIII and love it. i rarely take my rifle outa the case. It is really nice when hunting alone and trying to lead a dog, carry hides and go through the brush.

I have used a Ruger single 6 with a 1.5 power scope. It was not quite as accurate as I would like especially on those tall trees.I now have a T.C contender with a 10 inch barrel, red dot scope. The accurracy of this set up is bullets touching at 23 yards.I am thinking of going to a 2.5 power scope .I know a guy that uses a .22 diamondback with open sights. He is pretty darn good with it.

I had to paint the sights on my ruger single six to make it a little easier at night, but with some practice i have no problems knocking out coons in a couple shots more often then not. The 22 mag cylinder comes in handy too sometimes.

MARK III HUNTER
I ALSO USE THE RUGER MARK III WITH A 6 7/8" BARREL AND CRIMSON TRACE LASER SIGHTS. IF YOU GET USED TO ONE OF THESE, YOU WILL NEVER GET THE LONG RIFLE BACK OUT AGAIN IN HIDE SEASON. VERY NICE PISTOL.
I AM ALSO LOOKING FOR A NICE, COMFORTABLE SHOULDER HARNESS HOLSTER AND NOT HAVING ANY LUCK FINDING ONE. FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT ARE USING THIS PISTOL. WHAT HOLSTERS ARE YOU USING?
browning buck mark..
