I owned Lawyer from a pup till I sold him to Tom Hopkins at 2 years old. I have some pictures of him, but can't figure out how to post them. He was solid blanketback with a dark red head, also had a black band across it like Lipper. Tall, leggy dog. between 65 and 70 lbs. Loudest dog ever born when he got treed. Don't take my word for it, ask anyone who hunted with him. Been looking for one that sounded like him for over 20 years, no luck so far. Had some littermates to him, but they wern't as loud as Lawyer. Joe House said once that if Lawyer had of lived a long life, that he would probably go down as the best stud that he had ever owned.

Lawyer

I really like the Lawyer bred hounds. My old female that died was a Grand-pup to him. I have a hound here that is not 2 yet, a Grand-son to Lipper on top and a Grand-son to Double Tough Lawyer on bottom, his mother is House's Candy, now owned by Jeff Duvall and Tom Bates. He has a HUGE HUGE HUGE Mouth on tree, marked up on his back about like old Lipper. I will try post a picture of him on here, and see if I can find one of Lawyer for you. Thanks

you like the house blood too, lol.

check out my webpage, ped. for ch.saylors cruzen hawkI(joe)
MAGGIE AND JOE

i like the cross well enough that i crossed joe with maggie (full sister, younger litter) i have 1 male and 1 female from this cross and just let go of a female that was so loud that she would drown out the other dogs here at feeding time..
THE FEMALE ON TOP OF BOX

samatha (joe/maggie's mother) was a granddaughter to lawyer on top and granddaughter to cruze on bottom..her mother was a sister to house's cobra and her father was conger's lawtoo dog...

i have a male named TROUBLE ,i might cross back to the inbred female that is out of joe and a granddaughter to hopikins cash her 3rd gen. was double lipper on top and striker on bottom..

also have the hawk II male out of joe x luckylady (her father was full brother to sackett jr mother, with bozo on bottom)

LOOK AT THE PEDIGREES AND SEE IF YOU CAN SEE WHAT I'M DOING,LOL.

i may build paper tigers but it works,,lol

i bought samatha as a pup before she was born when i saw the pedigree,,,
she ran her first coon at 4 months and treed it in some grapevines when the older dogs were jacking a track in the creek.i took samatha along to just get her used to the woods ,never thinking she would run and tree,,

joe was running his own track at 6mths and the next cross was maggie's litter,
some made it some didn't ..
the man that bought maggie told me she was running at 8 months old ,i got the chance to buy her back when she was almost 2 and i did..lol
here's the picture of the inbred male,,doesn't have 2 heads ,lol

and here's the picture of hawk II out of joe x lady luck..

Who raises the kind of House bred dogs I used to hunt with? Big, stout hounds with classic bawl mouths and god noses?

Man, I liked some of those dogs. My cousin had a dog out of House's lawyer that could mortally fly on a coon track. He had a beautiful long, clear bawl mouth. Sounded like a freight train running a coon.

What is your male dogs name ? Would it be Screaming Lawman ? If so, I bred to him once and have hunted with him several times. Thanks

i have 1 female out of hazel x hi-tech askum dog that has run track every time she has went to the woods and had a couple coon shot out to her and she will chew on them and would have done good in the SuperStakes if i had hunted her in them ...she was raised with some of the yard cats and she will let some of them sleep with her, but when a stray cat shows up it's a different story..she will try to kill it or a cage coon when it is near her she explodes, lol.

just what kind of cross were you thinking of?
i was thinking of breeding hazel later to some type of linebred outcross with finleyriver/carolinacasey in it...
what do you have that might cross with her blood..i'm thinking she is real tight house right now and some light outcross would be in order ,,
what you think???
