Georgia Bound...

We are coming from north central WV. While some of you Georgia guys are on here...I have a few ?s. Are any of you familar with the Suburban Inn, there in Albany? If so, is it close to event location? (I called hotel and they had no clue!) Also, is it a dump? And what is the weather like there? (or what is it typically like) Thanks in advance if any of you can offer a reply....

(this is my 1st time to the Winter Classic--how is it compared to Autumn Oaks? I can't wait!!!!)

I HOPE to go

It's a 13-14 hour drive for me. If y'all find "Anywho" or "Mapquest" on the internet you can display maps & routes for your drive, the motel and the fairgrounds at Albany. I've been to WC a half dozen times & the weather has varied from sleet, freezing rain, temps in the teens to clear, pleasant & sunny. Definitely bring extra warm clothes "just in case" because a couple of times I thought I'd NEVER EVER get warm again after being at WC. Thank goodness they now have the bench show INSIDE instead of that miserable livestock barn arena. I have always enjoyed WC - fun to meet lots of friends & shop at the many vendors' booths.

A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America for an amount of 'up to and including my life.'

That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.

i will be there we only live about 45 minutes from there and for the weather i have seen it 19deg this year one night and 60deg the next night it is very unpredictable so just come prepared for the cool and you will be okay

We will be there. It's a 4 1/2 hr drive for us.

The weather varies greatly every year. One year, we woke up on Friday to 9 degrees. That was the coldest weather I have ever been in. Plus, it can be very wet. So we pack for cold wet, weather and drink a lot of coffee.

We will be in stall numbers 29 30 31 &32, so stop by and say hello.

I'll be there. Will be staying at our hunting club about 40 min away.It was pretty cool last year one night. The year before it was sleeting and freezing rain!!!!! Oh yeah. Dont forget a good pair of waders.I promise if you hunt where we do your gonna need em.

Posted by Dale Young on 01-02-2007 12:28 AM:

We'll be there

One of our favorites. The weather does vary a little doesn't it. Coming from Michigan we already got our coats with us. Many times it's what's going on in between that worries us the most.
Since my plans just changed maybe I'll see some of you at the Grand American also.
I need a truck that runs on water.
