Stud

Looking to breed my female sometime next year
The dog must meet the following

Hard stay put tree dog

Hold any and all pressure

I'd rather it be more of a winding type dog if not it needs to be able
To drift the track and get treed

No reverse can not check back in needs to go till treed

Needs to be able to satisfy me and it's not easy

Has to be accurate

Must be throwing pups that are like him and better

Can't be a track straddler

Want a cold nose but needs to know how to use it

Big mouth and big motor!!

Needs to be the same dog on the 12th drop as the 1st

Don't care about looks needs to atleast meet these qualifications
And be throwing these kinda pups

sounds like you need a good female first because most pups will take after the mothers side. if your female has all of that than you should be fine. with just a good coon hound to breed her to lot of guys look at the male and the male isnt what they take after it is the female. most of the time jmo.

I've got the female but the male needs to have these traits to match hers and help with some faults and possibly help get a little more layup ability
She is all of what I want only she is more of a track dog and I want a little more winding ability

I've put a lot of thought into the mad dogs and talked to a few
That said they are too tree minded and wouldn't finish a track that
Got rough.... With that bein said I still want to find some people with this
Breeding to check them out since they have done some winning

well on the behalf of Mad Dog Kennel i have two hounds out of their kennel hard tree dogs and stay put,, but mine are females wouldn't do you any good but Paul and Tim and the MAD DOG TEAM got the studs that throws get hound,,,,,,,,,thanks MAD DOG TEAM,,,,,Allen

I haven't had the chance to hunt with one yet but plan on makein a trip to see a few different studs in a few years
With that said I'm ALWAYS lookin for a bigger motor and mouth
And I've heard both good and bad bout the mad dogs I just have to
Hunt one to see it myself

Where is your female getting her ability from? Jake or Roxy. Maybe I should bred to Jake or if you find a male with all this in one package I would like some of him myself on one or maybe both of my females. I am going to keep watching your post. John Smith has the Ranger dog here in Ohio now but I don't know one thing about him but I believe I will check him out this spring before my females come in season. I'd say track speed is from jake and bein a VERY indepent is also
I think the tree power comes from the Roxy female comin out of pounder.
Which she is a lot more like jake IMO from all the pups I've started from jake independent is a REAL strong trait and track speed is too... Some just aren't intense tree dogs but they still stay put and have a lot of drive! I wouldn't mind breeding a female to jake he is throwing real nice pups I've started 5 out of 4 different females and all would tree coon and look good doin it

Well I'm gonna make sure I find something I feel will COONDOGS even if I skip a cycle or 2 I don't breed unless I want to hunt a pup from that cross
