I noticed they were sponsored by K-Lights and it looked like they were shining the tree with their K-Light heads, no spot light. I am shopping for a new LED head. I like a head where you don't need the spotlight. I have been using Dan's products for years and years. And, I have sent UKC my money for years and years. Some of the other sponsors I haven't tried.

As for the Walkers, if you seen one, you seen them all. LOL.

Dave, I bought a 21v Superior Light w/ the 5-LED head. It's the exact same light as the Valley Creek Pro-5 LED light. It's the best light I've ever owned & I chunked my old bulky spotlight. The head has a tighter spot & is just as bright or brighter. I don't think ull be dissappointed.

Bought the VC mini pro at Autumn Oaks.....have not put it on the charger since.....wish I had kept up with the # of turnouts, but Im guessing 20 plus. I"m anxious to see how long it will go. and btw you won't need a spotlight.

Now back to the post....Is the sportsman channel a subscirption channel. I have dish but don't have that channel.

I know it comes with mine but I have the 200 channel one I think..I also read somewhere that you could get the sportsman channel for 3 dollars a month..It has some good hunting on it..Its just like the outdoors channel..

Yeah...that was amusing...and they were huntin this HUGE 75 acre plot too! Sounds like a little patch to me. As I said before, the first morning this show aired, I enjoyed it. I'll try to catch the others as the new ones come up.

Set

the DVR to record the entire season.. When I signed up for Directv I wasn't thrilled about DVR function, but now I changed my mind. Nice show, Ohio Patchwoods.... Same here patchwoods.. I'm not big on dogs that are so independant that you know before you turn loose your gonna walk to 3 different trees... That is aggrevating to me, some must love it..

Yeah, I competition hunt !! All Fall and Winter long.. My Blues compete with the local coon.. My Blues win a ton !!! We use and recommend MOONSHINER LIGHTS, Peggs , Ok.

I have all of the last year's shows on my DVR and plan to transfer them to DVDs someday (for my own personal use).

As for DVRs, I wouldn't be without one.

As for the Sportsman Channel, I don't know how much they are billing me for it but I think it comes with my HiDef package. I do know my monthly bill is too high but I watch a lot of fishing and hunting shows and sports.

I like the videos I make of my dogs. No, they are not professionally done but most of my dogs (coon dogs, beagles, Cur squirrel dogs), are Champions. With camcorders being so cheap these days, I am surprized more folks don't do their own dog videos. Some HiDef camcorders can be bought for less than $100. I can do videos showing 6-7 generations of my dogs. I have been doing videos for over 25 years.

As for the split trees, some folks are breeding for that kind of independence.

Please take that in context. It took us well over two hours to film that first drop cause those dogs were scattered over a two mile section. A comment was made "off camera" that we should be able to get the dogs treed in "100 yards" on the next couple of drops....

Trust me, nobody really thought that dog was a long way off....oh, by the way....the Cube dog was right at a mile off when we got to him......

Glad you liked the show....we had a lot of fun making it....good dogs, good friends, and a great time was had by all....isn't that what it is all about?

i liked the show but not the hounds coonhounds are suppose to work as cast. these type hounds are rough on dogs that try to back them at tree any hound that passes a track up to go get his own instead is only fun to hunt alone in my opinion. i like to hunt dogs that work together grub out cold track and tree it and see it

That is youre oppinion friend. Where does the whole running past coon thing come into effect? A dog can be indapendent to the point where it won't cover another dog but yet won't run past coon to get away from the pack. Pack hunting/style/breeding is quickly becoming a thing of the past. These days at the competition hunts, most people make fun of pack dogs.

This season was about three things...

- Continue to showcase our sport on National Television.

- Improve the quality... dog audio and overall video.

- Have more fun doing it, and yes, show the cutting-up and joking that always happens when houndsmen hit the woods.

In most episodes we were succesful, and through the support of viewers and sponsors, we'll continue to improve.

Thanks for watching!

Dave

hey

lakeland i saw your post on getting the led light from klight, and if your going to do so make sure to upgrade it from the 3 switch to the 5 switch, i can use my light for many nights and not worry about charging it. i got the 3 switch and it was ok,bright but a pain in the butt to fiddle with the little knob on top then a fuse blew in my bat so i shipped it in and they sent me a 5 switch one. i am completly happy with this light, and when you shine it next to a normal head, or even the ones that have the 4 squares accross the top, by the naked eye it is quite brighter.good luck.btw mine is a 21 volt with the g2 head.

just ordered the sportsman channel last night i think it was about 3.90 a month. That is well worth having something decent to watch. The Bill is already 70 something and there is never anything decent to watch. I am looking forward to another season of Tail gate Adventures.

My point is that I liked the show (even with the Walkers) and I intend to support the sponsors. I actually have 3 different pairs of Dan's bibs that I use for different situations. In the winter, I often wear Dan's as chore overalls and I used to wear them on construction jobs I worked.

I probably will buy a K-Light head and thanks for the tip on the switch.
