If I didn't have to work tomorrow, I would still be huntin. The could of treed a pile of them tonight..

Hobo, I've got to ask what kind of camera you are using for those pics? They are very, very nice. I like taking good pictures of dogs on the tree, at the truck, etc. I usually use a good grade disposable at the tree (which works pretty well with the flash and I don't have to worry about dropping it and losing $100). I've taken some pretty nice pictures with the disposable, but nothing with your type of clarity and distinction.

By the way I went last night with a guy. His old female is pretty good and in heat so we hunted a young male. He hunted out the holler's good, but didn't tree anything. Never even opened. I don't think they were moving very good. He's young too so that is a factor. Good night to be out though. Cool and clear and still.

Went last night. First coon got in a bluff.

Second one was treed on the outside in a persimmon tree.

Over all good night.

Gonna go tonight in the snow.

Usually I take my Sony ds7 point n shoot, but these were taken with my Canon Rebel XTI and a new lens that I just bought. The lens is a EF 50mm f1.4 its a really nice lens. I don't carry the XTI in the woods with me unless its on a squirrel hunt and I'm not carrying a good.

Went on 12-3-09

Treed on 2 dens, had 3 on the outside with a B&T female and my Booger Hollow MOJO pup. The last one was a big boar coon. Had a good clay land hunt near Marshville.

Got started @ midnite 12am Saturday mourning.Man was it cold brr-rrr-rrr.
18 mth walker bitch(pup trainer) 7 mth.old english male.

1st dump took 1 hour. Den.Male located 1st ,the bitch backs him.Boyyyy what a locate.

2ed dump took 8 min. another den.The bitch had total control of this one.Male openes three times going the other way, made it's correction, came and backed her.

By my standards I had a successful hunt.
NO SLICKS, the 8 never would of got them, and two legetimate circle trees.
Yea, the 1st dump was long but ....................... it was cold out lastnite.

We let em loose here in the mtns of NC. First drop treed in something like 5 seconds. They dropped the hammer on a small coon working a deer bait pile.

Second drop was a good race and ended in a very healthy mtn coon about 100 yards from the creek. My boy loves it and I couldn't be happier.

treed a big bob tailed boar coon around 30lbs..then a den tree...then the last drop we never got a bark, and drove down the road 3/4 mile and caught them up before they got in the next section..it started out with some cloud cover but once the sky cleared and the moon got up things went sour..
