Mr. Wood, I know you use a Heritage Rough Rider to coon hunt with and I just wanted to share something with you. Heritage now has a 26inch barreled action with fire sights that are adjustable in the rear, I just bought one today. I thought you might really like this MODEL at around 200.00 it should shoot more like a rifle with the long barrel and would not need any scope, etc with the adjustable sights. Dave

That's interesting. I need to look at one. I really like using the one I have with the laser dot. Only downside to me is LOUD. I know there is quiet ammo but I use hollow points. With the other ammo seems like I have to sometimes hit the coon 2-4 times before it comes out. With the hollow points one shot and he comes out. So I would rather have one LOUD shot than a bunch of shots that are a little quieter.

Check them out, as I said it has the fire sights that are heads above the plain Jane metal sight. The rearsight is adjustable windage and elevation both. Make sure you get or look at the one with fire sights as they come both ways, I made a mistake and bought one with the metal non adjustable sights before I bought this latter one with the fire sights. A man could put a leather strap behind the front sight and on the grip and carry over the shoulder or rig up a shoulder holster as the barrel is 16 inches long and would be hard to carry in a side holster. Google this gun and you can see what it looks like. Should be quieter to shoot with the longer barrel. Dave
