Dog Food Again.
I have tried them all. Settled on what works for me. But when I see good results in a dog. I just have to wonder what that food would do for my dogs. Then usually I try it and find out not much.
Anyway my Grandson brought his dogs to the store. One is an a DOGO female that is a couple years old. She is a large dog but always has had problems with skin conditions and keeping weight on. I saw her yesterday after not seeing her for a couple months. WOW what a difference I saw. She looked like an athlete. Filled out with excellent muscle tone. Coat was shiny and looked excellent. Seriously a dog you would look at and say. Thats a beautiful dog an extremely well built. I asked my Grandson what he was feeding her and he said. Because of her skin sensitivity issues he has had with her. He switched to Purina Pro in the SALMON flavor. I have two here that I just might try them on it. It is expensive but seeing the results with my Grandsons dog is well worth the money.

Bruce,
I fed the Purina One Salmon and Tuna for two years and am transitioning away for a bit right now. About a month ago, three of the 5 dogs fed on it just quit eating it and picking at it until they had to break down and eat it.
My wife called the Purina hotline as these dogs had loved it prior and all my dogs have thrived on the feed. The Rep at Purina confirmed that as of the first of the year the formulas on Purina One, ProPlan and Dogchow had been realigned.. Said they took nothing away, just realigned..
My dogs are still healthy on it, but I bought 24/20 Joy and am mixing it 50/50 until my Purina is gone. Hoping they realign the recipe back to the original as it was an excellent product. My dogs stayed trim, muscular and didn't run nearly as hot as in my prior dog food useage.
My .02 worth.. Thinking if you start your dogs on the new product you won't have the change of flavor issue I'm dealing with.. FWIW.
.
Thanks Larry.

I did some reading on the change in the Purina ingredients. You are correct and it looks like when they made the change they swapped the bag first and after a few runs they changed the ingredients. Look like the biggest change is adding some probiotics. But it is confusing for an old mind. Some of the ingredient percentages changes also.
