Winter Classic

Who all plans to go and what division are you hunting?

If you had 2 pretty nice females, 1 that is already nitech and one that has only been in pkc hunts so far, which one would you hunt?

If I were going to a big hunt like that and spending that much time and money I’d for sure hunt the one I thought I had best chance of winning with but I think you already knew that. I believe you just wanted everyone to know you got a couple of nice females. Lol I got two nice 18 month old females myself but I’m keeping it a secret.

HaHa! Not at all Turnbow, I ain't ever had anything that can tree coon.

You see most people hunting grnite or nitech I guess becuase that's what they are pushing or promoting... I was just wondering what a preference would be and what led folks to the choice they made. Does it factor in which division you hunt for which satelitte club you get drawn from?

I'm getting someone to handle one of them for me and someone to handle Thor for my wife... I'm just trying to figure out which I should handle.

At larger hunts like this which division is considered the hardest? Which gets the best satelitte clubs, etx....

Question Divisions??

When you are asking about what division to hunt what exactly are you talking about?? If you have a reg with no title you will hunt registered, so a nt ch will hunt nt ch division, and a grnt ch will hunt grnt ch division. So what division you hunt is based on the dog you bring. All divisions can be tough. Grnt ch are supposed to be the proven dogs that really cant be hunted at small local hunts. These big hunts are really the only opportunity for them to enter a hunt after they receive that title in UKC. But, an up and coming young dog can whoop your tail in the Nt Ch and registered classes just as easily. But in the registered division, you typically have more youthful dogs which are pronged to a few more mistakes and if your dog stays clean can tend to be a little easier to win at times. The draws for the satellite clubs are based on what your judge/guide is hunting. They look at what they have for hunting judges and guides and then fill in with non hunting guides where its needed. So in other words, its just luck of the draw unless you know someone that can guide you then you can put yourself down as a guide when you enter and then let your guide ride with you and be the true guide for the night. I personally will be there hunting my Dual Grand female.
