what sd did you get for your BirdsEye?
What mini SD card did you get for your BirdsEye? and where did you get it? Im thinking maybe the 128gb they have at bestbuy... but when i do some searching, i found some even bigger, like 256gb, even 512gb. My question is, do i need that big? or should i just stick with the 128? that still gives me about 3 states worth at the highest quality

Your Garmin won't handle a 128 GB card.
Do you realize the Handheld is like a computer. You put 3 states on it and it would not even turn on. It has to process all the data you stuff into it. You want your handheld to run smoothly. Put the least amount of data you can in it. My personal recommendation is us 8 GB cards and that is an over kill I know as the largest Garmin says or recommends you using is 32GB.

That would surly work but is small. One tip. Only download what your need and try to avoid cities. They take up a lot of space and time.
If your into downloading and interfacing with Base Camp that is great. It it is a bother Garmin now has most of the states but not all on one card for each state. Texas and California are the exceptions as it takes two cards of all of their area.
To do it yourself the cost for Birdseye $30 or you get free subscription for a year with purchase of product. Then a good card is $15 to $50 bucks depending on where you buy them. The preloaded cards are $79.99 and they have the birdseye and the landowners information. The Birdseye on the card zoomed all the way in is not as clear as the hight resolution you download but out to a working distance and it is fine. Unless your good on the computer I recommend the pre loaded SD card with the map on it.
