Bench show

Ive got a B&T that will be 2 in may. Is it too late to start her on a bench? ive never worked with her much as far as showing her.

Not at all, 2-5 is a dogs prime age to be shown on the bench. Just start slow and take your time, don't expect too much at first.

Lots of time and work with the dog will do the trick! Even taking her to some events and not showing her, but keeping her ringside, and watching to get her used to the atmosphere will help. Before and after the show, work her on the benches if the club allows you to. Make sure she leads properly and cooperates decent on the bench, and you will be good to go

also ask others that you like to watch if they will give you pointers or advice. its always good to let other put their hands on your dog at the events. prepares them for the judge touching them and wont be skittish
