A young male for sale at the BBCHA round up...Smokey River
I am bringing a young male, 2 yrs old, out of Gr.Nt.Ch. S.R. Edwards' Chief's Blue Jake, and Gr.Nt.Ch. Meadowood Blue Penny, to the round up!!! He would be 1/2 brother to Meadowood Mt. Music Blue. He was started on bear, and went in on a big bear alone, and he's DONE on bear. He does hate a coon. He has treed a couple by himself. The good is, he's a nice looking hound. He has cream trim, with dark blue body. He has an outstanding mouth, a mouth that carries. Bawl on track, chop on the tree. When he trees, he is an awesome tree dog. He has plenty of sense, and I believe he will make a coon dog. If he is finished out, he would be something else. If you are interested in him, you can call the number below. I will sell him at puppy price. I have 300 in him, and that's all I want to get out of him. I do think a knowledgeable handler could make a good dog out of him. I have another young dog I am hunting, and going to spend my time on him.

Lots of calls and interest. As of right now, he's still here.
His good points are: His looks, his breeding, his mouth, his treeing, his demeanor.
The area he lacks most in is going hunting. He didn't really know anything about coonhunting. I haves seen real improvement. I have seen him get pretty deep, get struck, and get treed a couple of times, and do it all alone. Have seen him tree a few yards from other dogs, and hold his tree. He hates a coon, and is "Ruff" on them.
The ingredients are there, its just a matter of connecting the dots. If I don't sell him, it is no big deal to me. I will continue to hunt him, and I feel sure, in the right hands, he will make it.
His sire and dam were coon dogs. He has all of the tools. This coon hunting is new to him. In time.........

He has the breeding, the mouth, the looks, and the treeing to head a kennel IF he connects a few dots. I've debated on whether or not to sell him. Had him on here one time, then took him off. I have decided to put my time, this season, on a pup that was born and raised here. I couldn't make up my mind, but I decided to go with the pup I raised. I did own this dog's sire, GrNTCh. Edwards S.R. Chief's BluJake. He was a really good hound, and reproducer.
The dam, Gr.Nt.Ch. Meadowood Blue Penny won some big hunts, and is the dam of a top reproducer, Meadowood Mt. Music Blue. I have heard a lot of good things about his pups. I've never seen or hunted Penny, but everything I've heard and read has been good.
If someone wants him he is here. If not, I'll keep him and hunt him.
