I doubt there is anything with Sputnik up close. Moody's Big Chopper goes back to Beech River Sputnik. He is about 6 generations back.

Beech River Sputnik

He died in the early 70's. Placed 3rd in 1965 World Hunt.

Michigan Swamp Rooster had him in the 4th generation.

Erwin Massengill has stuck to these lines with some outcrosses since the late 60's.

I saw you said Beechwood. Not sure if that was a mistake or not??? But, there was a Beechwood line of English in the 50's and 60's. And, those dogs were crossed onto Sputnik.

Either way, Erwin would be the one that knows the most about these lines.
