Testing this new system this week from QuickTrack and I am really impressed with the results I'm seeing and the ease of use. These systems are available from QuickTrack or any QuickTrack dealer.

Omni......

How has the range been Mike, and does it lose signal much ?
Garmin is Nice, No comparison in it and the old beep beep systems, but I have always felt it could be better with Range, better with battery life, better at not giving false direction readings.

In actual hunting the farthest I have tracked my hound has been .54 miles as I have roads all around, but while just playing with the system the farthest I have tracked and it staying on MURS signal has been 1.4 miles using the Omni receiver with the standard antenna but have recently purchased a long range antenna but have not used it yet. After losing the MURS signal it changed over to cell service and distance is unlimited long as you have cell service. As for battery life I have not checked as I have been for interested in the functionality and dependability of the system right now. I have not used enough to make a final decision but I can see potential for this system for my use.

But one final point, I run the 'Hitch-Hiker" collar with this system just like I do with the Garmin.
