-- Sick pup (http://forums.ukcdogs.com/showthread.php?threadid=928394967)
Sick pup PLEASE REMOVE
B&T-8 weeks old, runt of the litter, rest of the litter is acting normal.
Symptoms
- started 2 days ago by being less active and not much appetite and has progressed to:
- week, unable to walk, barely stands seems week in the back legs, she just lays and sleeps
- minor fever (temp started at 43 degrees rectally in 2 hours has dropped to 39.7)
- elevated heart rate
- large stomach (but doesn't look like she's going to pop)
- whines and is uncomfortable
She will drink and eats some.
I talked to my thread who is a vet, and initially he thought twisted stomach, but from what I have seen she would've been dead by now.
Anyone have an ideas?
Symptoms worsened. My friend came to check her. It looked like intussusception. Pup is gone.
GIVE HER ALL THE COTTAGE CHEESE AND OR BUTTER MILK SHE WILL EAT.
