Anyone out there with a deep knowledge of gps want to give the rest of us their opinion?

What comes around goes around!

How much is that thing? Id like to have one to put on a deer stand and in a trail cam. They have a way of walking off here. Not to mention put one on my dog.

Isn't quite the solution the current garmin systems provide. You still need internet access to track it. Also, how often does it transmit to the receiver?

If garmin will get their collars to report via satellite to the hand unit instead of using VHF Los, evolution will be complete.
