Help With Garmin Alpha

Just strated using a garmin alpha and have loved it, however I have had a problem twice on two seperate hunts. The garmin tracks the dogs fine until they get about 600 yards then it loses signal and immediately get signal back but says the dog is 315 MILES! Wow, thought a jet stole my dog and was headed out of state. Like I said, this is the second time this has happened. Can anyone point me in the right direction to try and fix it. Or atleast figure out why it's doing it. Thanks in advance

Problem

Yes your not crazy, It's a problem and a glitch with the Alpha software, it only happens on a couple units, That should be fixed with the New software that was released today. 2.7 is the update you'll want. ]

I would definitely recommend updating your Alpha software it will get that and a couple other issues gone.

Make sure to update your collars also.

If not give me a call and I can help you get it fixed, I've dealt with allot of the Alpha's and normally can get most of them working remotely by logging into your computer and walking folks through the updates.

Thank You

Thank sir for your advice. I contacted Garmin help desk and they walked me through the process and explained the problem a little more. I have updated the collars and handheld. I appreciate the help you gave me, and I might add that the Garmin help desk was absolutely nothing but professional and pleasant to talk to. They all spoke english and had a since of eagerness to help. Don't get the much these day, so Thank You Garmin.
