dog pg for the collar you want to change.
info pg for that collar
see what id number is.
then hit menu from the info page
select comm settings - enter
first pg will allow you to change the id number.
select the same the id number for that collar or change it if you want - enter
the next screen will let you change the update rate

Ok thanks that helped.alot... Next question can you change the battery in in the reciever while you are hunting or does the dog have to be close to you in order for the collar to re-aquire the reciever?

you can change the batteries in the handheld while hunting and it will re connect up with the collar.
I turn my handheld off and only use it when i need it. like when i aint heard the dog in awhile and i want to see where it is at. as long as the dog has not got farther then the range of the system it will re connect without a problem. if the dog has it will show where the dog was when it last had connection with it, if you get closer or back within the range limit it will pick the collar up again.
say like if the dog gets through the section and you drive around to the next road.
oh wait, wv. - ok when you walk over the next mountain it should pick it back up once you get in range...lol
