Question on deleted points

What is the acceptable way to note deleted points on the scorecard? Especiacally when a dog has been shutout on its strike points. I put a line under the strike points if indeed the dog has been shutout, but does that value need anything else noted to it?
Or is it ok to just erase that value?

draw a line through the middle of the points. Never erase. Around these parts they don't even give us pencils with erasers. Some guys will scratch a cast when eraser markings are evident on score card.

When a dog that is shut out gets struck in, write down the points with a line under them. If the dog is found on the tree it was shut out on, draw a line through those points.
