I had a young dog catch one on the ground last night, pretty sure it had distemper or rabbies, she never got bit but was grabbing at it, can she catch anything from just grabbing at it? Thanks for any help!

are you saying your dog doesnt have its shots so your worried about it getting distemper from the sick coon? I wouldnt be too concerned as long as it didnt get bit.

Did you ever heard of preventative?

It's like $8 bucks at the tractor supplie company for a 7 way do it your self shot with distemper. Saves a lot in the long run. Hope your dog will be ok
