Dog wormer

I was interested in seeing what type of wormer you guys use for your dogs and how often you give it to them. Just looking to find something that works good and not waste money on stuff that is no good. Thanks for any input.

Drontal Plus. Best I have ever used for adult dogs. Gets ALL intestinal worms. 1 pill - one time. Dont have to worry about giving it 3 days in a row like some. I give it 3-4 times a year. Safeguard and. Equimax paste from tractor supply is the same as drontal plus and aheck of a lot cheaper.

if you've got only one or two dogs drontal is fine. it's a good wormer for all worms. however, if you have several dogs and not a lot of money or if you are frugal, you equimax paste. you use one ml for a 50lb dog. it will also take care of heartworm preventitive for that month, only, but should be used to treat a heartworm infestation.

. Uncle Billy Ray, this is the chart breakdown on using equimax horse wormer on dawgs. The month I worm them with this, I leave off the ivomec heartworm treatment that month. This gets all worms to include tape worms. It cost about $9.00 a tube. Tim Cope gave me my lessons on this stuff and it works. A syringe will fit right in the business end of this tube so it's easy to draw out and measure.

3/10cc = 13lbs. to 15lbs.
2/10cc = 9lbs. to 10lbs.
1/10cc = 4lbs. to 5lbs.
