ever coon hunt with air rifle?

wonder if any body hunts with air rifle or pellet gun if so what kind?

A friend that works for the game department brought his in to the tree last week. He was sure it would work and the coon was only halfway up. He made head shots but it didn't work. Might have worked on heart or lungs, don't know , the 22 was not that far away.

I have used a .177 cal with Gamo's PBA ammo. Head shot a coon 5 time before it dispatched. No where near humane in my book. Heck it was the same way on tree rats past 15ft!
