hot tracks
can more than one hot track mess up a dog.
i have a feeder on a swamp that always has a good track. i have a dog that once he gets treed he will move once or twice. only on this drop. bo treed 25 yards off that feeder the other night and we had to stand in the swamp to shine the tree. when i squalled it looked to have about ten coons within 75 yds of the feeder on the tree line. now the dog moving is a problem but is it cause of three or four hot tracks.

When theres more than one coon running together, yes it can screw up a dog at times.young dogs tend to have a hard time lining a track out when theres more than one coon running together.finished hounds for the most part can sort the track there running most of the time.young dogs have a tendecy of sometimes having a hard time sorting the right track there running.is your dog young?

A dog should lock down treed on the tree regaurdless of how many tracks are there..It dont always happen though..I took mine to the north country one year..So many tracks up there..She would do the same thing for a couple nights..She had never left a tree here...Up there she would tree a few min and be off and gone after another one before I could reach her..I was a sick puppy for those 2 nights..She finally got it figured out though ..
