One last recasting question (from me).
Happened last weekend:
Dogs A, B, C, D all struck in. Dogs A & B tree. Tree closes and we start to shine, and no sooner do we start, dog C comes in and blows the top out of it just 100 feet away, and dog D is still out there boo whooing around. We find the coon in our tree with two minutes left on dog C's tree.
So we could have pointed are dogs towards dog C's tree, which was basically at the end of are lights, and turned loose? since dog D was still trailing.
We choose to let the time run out, and it was a den, but if there was a coon in the tree it would have been nice to grab somemore points.
I'm just getting back into the comp hunts after a 10 year layoff and I'm still getting caught up on new or old rules. Sorry!
