A Hunt With Bud

Took Bud out for what I thought would be a short hunt. Well game was not moving so Bud got out of pocket. Got out the tracking receiver and had a little bit of trouble getting a bead on Bud. He was over a big hill treed and before we got to Bud he had been treed over a half hour and had a big coon he dug out from under a blow down and the coon got away and up a tree. Bud was glad to see Jon and I because Bud knew the coon would soon be knocked out and that we did. When Jon and I got back to the truck I looked like one of the contestants form the biggest looser wringing wet with sweat. When the game isn't moving one should think twice before unsnapping an animal like Mr Bud but I really like hunting Bud.

Good story. It is nice to get out once in a while. Even if you have to walk long distance to your dogs.
