Need Help

MY 2 YR OLD ENGLISH DOG COME UP MISSING A COUPLE OF MTHS AGO.I LOOKED ALL OVER AND NEVER FOUND HIM.I ASKED ALL MY NEIGHBORS IF THEY HAD SEEN HIM.AND EVEN PUT ADDS OUT ON HIM.WELL I JUST FOUND OUT TODAY HE WAS KILLED(SHOT) BY ONE OF THEM.HER DAUGHTER TOLD MY SON AND ONE OF HIS BUUDYS THEY KILLED IT.THE PROB. IS WHAT CAN I DO.WHO TO CONTACT AND SO FORTH.ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT.

Legally

Go file a police report first thing. Please make sure you have some sort of dollar amount you think your dog's worth. If the dog was taken out of your yard or some where you have permission to hunt that's theft. If the dog is worth more than $1500.00 the police will have to take the warrant out at least that's the way it works around here. Theft over $1500 is a felony and the state takes up the case. So here's what you do..... Provide the cops with some sort of proof of the worth of the dog(example: a signed statement from someone you know and trust that states something to this effect......'ON AUGUST 20TH 2009 I OFFERED DALE BROWERS $20,000.00 FOR HIS ENGLISH DOG 'SKIPPER' UKC NUMBER 00000000. DALE BROWERS SAID HE WOULDN'T TAKE $20,000 BUT WOULD TAKE $25,000.00 FOR 'SKIPPER'. The more of these statements you get that proves the english dog's worth the better. If possible get the suckers for theft, criminal trespassing with intent(intent of stealing your dog)
and premeditated/malicious cruelty to an animal. If you don't want to go through all that trouble just wait to one night and take matters in your own hands and whatever you do don't carry your cell phone with you. Once again have an alabi you can trust.

Sounds like a good plan to me. I'd go the legal route.
