Great Morning in N.C.

Went down to North Carolina and bear chased a couple days with Justin King. Got there on Wed. morning and it rained and the wind blew all morning. Found a couple of old tracks and put my Diamond dog down on them but couldn't get them started. Went back out that evening and the wind blew so hard that if you got out of the truck you had to shut your eyes, so we called it a day.
The next morning we started out at 6:30am to a great day with sunny but cool temps. and no wind. Justin put his rig dog Mattie up and I put Diamond on the rig. We split up to cover more ground in hopes of finding one to run and it wasn't long until Justin called and said he thought he had something. When I arrived we put both dogs down and it wasn't long before they had it up and going and before I could get the last of my other 4 dogs off the truck I could here them treed. It was a big sow about 300# and 3 good looking cubs. Justin and I hadn't been there but a second and the sow bailed out and the race was on. They ran her across a couple off wood blocks and treed her again. Treed her one more time as she was making the circle back to her cubs. Great morning and not to bad a dog work for some out of shape dogs.
Thanks Justin for the invite to come and run. Hope to come again some time.

Dennis:

It was a absolute pleasure to meet you and hunt with your dogs! That diamond dog is a first class walker dog that anybody would be glad to own. He is straight and true with a good nose and he doesn't mine being on the ground baying a bear. I don't think you can ask for more. I look forward to the day when you are able to get away and come back as always you are welcome.

On another note I appoligize for the weather on the first day. I guess I should have taken time to watch the forcast. It was a waste of time to try and hunt but I guess it was better then being at work.

Thanks Justin King

Hey Justin, Worst day hunting is better than the best day working. Thanks for the compliments. Call me with or send me your e-mail address. I'll see if I can't get you a couple of pics.
