Ive never used it, but I looked it up when I seen the review from dog food advisor and there are certainly better dog foods out there. I'm not dog food hippy by any means. I like stuff that's a good bang for the buck, but the 2nd and 3rd ingredient in this stuff is corn. Few dollars more gets you feed that uses better ingredients. Food that has rice as opposed to corn, is supposedly better.

Read the review, it even describes pork as being less digestible than other protein sources.

PRIDE FEED !!!

I SELL TONS OF PRIDE OUT OF MY SHOP AND NOT ONE PERSON HAS EVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH ANY OF THE DIFFERENT COLOR'S OF BAG'S. THERE ARE GUY'S THAT HAVE FED IT FOR YEARS AND TRAVEL A GREAT DISTANCE TO BUY PRIDE FOOD. AS FOR AS CORN YES IT HAS SOME IN IT, BUT UNLESS YOUR DOG HAS SPECIAL HEALTH ISSUES WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL, MY FAMILY BACK IN THE 50's AND 60's MADE THERE OWN DOG FOOD OUT OF GROUND UP FEILD CORN AND WATER AND FED IT TO THERE FOX HOUND'S. SOMETIMES WHAN PEOPLE BUY A PRODUCT AT A HIGHER PRICE THEY THINK IT'S BETTER, NOT TRUE. ONE TIME MY FRIEND BOUGHT A TOP OF THE LINE RUNNING SHOE FOR TRACK BECOUSE THEY SAID IT WOULD MAKE YOUR TIMES DROP, IT DID BUT HE STILL GOT BEAT . JUST MY OPINION, LIKE BUTTHOLES, EVERYBODY HAS ONE. STEVE

White buffalo what color bag do you use or recommend??

Posted by hillbilly56 on 10-28-2015 03:41 PM:

some think the higher the price the better the feed but not always true i think pride is a good feed i have been feeding joy 24/ 20 for 3 yrs now my 1 red gyp is a finiky eater she eats the pride good the joy not as good so really it all comes down 2 things how good your dogs do on the feed and how much money you want to spend on what ya think is the best feed

I have been feeding black bag for a few years now and my dogs do really good on it. Their stool is solid, coat is shiny, have good energy and they just look healthy. There is always a big debate on dog food but their is tons of dogs out there that get fed Ol' Roy everyday and are as healthy looking as can be.

What looks good on paper dont keep a dog looking good a lot of times ive fed just about every dog food out there through the years and some of the ones dogfoodadvisor.com has listed at the top end with no corn or none in the first 3 or 4 and a high price tag my dogs stayed up just as good on a lower priced feed as they did with them and ive never figured out why everyone looks at a bag of dog food and if they see it has corn in it you would think they just saw the Devil himself but they are a lot of fillers as bad or worse as corn as for digestion in a dog.
As for Pride dog food im not hung up on it but for the money and how it keeps up a dog its not that bad of feed ive seen worse with a higher price tag.

I feed the Orange bag of Pro series Pride.Good stuff and very reasonably priced.50 pounds for 26 bucks.

I fed the black bag for a long time and had a lot of waste from my dogs. I recently switched to the orange bag and have nowhere near the amount of waste. Other than that my dogs have always done very well on it and looked and acted fine.

I feed pride but won't feed the black bag . **** more than they eat and hard hunted hounds in cold weather don't do well on it.

But on the other hand I've fed the pro series chicken n rice for years and am very pleased with it. Also pleased with the puppy.

Pride has recently came out with a new food . 31-22 blend that I have been feeding n really like it. Last I talked to them the were in the middle of comin up with a new name for it cuz the first 1 they couldn't use. Rite now mine comes in a white bag with a blue tag with ingredients til the bag n name r ready to b advertised.

Around here, I know of 3 places that carry the black bag and it ranges from $19.90 to $24.50 for 50 lb. And of course the place with highest price is closest to me.

Posted by dchartt on 10-30-2015 09:10 PM:

Yes prices vary big time I know a guy from up here who feeds his beagles Pride and he drives to Ohio I believe it is and fills the truck bed up, I pay 27 for the orange bag Pro Series and hes gettin it for like 6 or 7 bucks cheaper per bag
