Got 2 now Russ, one to "discuss" in and one to "sell" in. If I read it right on the main board there will be one board for dog/puppie sales, one for Stud ads/kennel promotion and one for discussion.

TOO LATE

Seems most of the gripin was about all the political ads being discussed within breed forums. Elections are over now, figured it would be back more to dog bs'n again. No matter what is done, people on here will find something to whine about.

I am happy!!

I do not have to sort through a million "for sell" and off topic threads to read about some coon hunting and Blueticks.

Personally

I do not like the new set up. Going three places to keep up with friends of different bloodlines is time consuming.

I'm not crazy about it either. I think it moved at a fine pace for one forum.

Do I detect a little jealousy in your post. I bet if 200 people a day were reading your post you would have a different position. The same people are going to read the same posts every day. It will just take longer to do it now.
Some threads happen to be popular and there is a reason for that.

Posted by poolecw on 11-13-2012 03:37 AM:

I actually like it. But I do process improvement for a living so I thought they should have organized this place a long time ago. Its different and most people don't like change. Give it time and most people will find that its faster.

The only thing I would have done differently is I wouldn't have put the "discussion area" and the two classifieds sections in two different locations.

I would have made it like this:

Bluetick-
...Discussion board
...Stud dog board
...Pup and dog for sale board

there are four the way

i see it.

Breed;
dog and pup for sale;
stud dog and kennel;
coonhound forum;
and then you go through three are four links to get to were the forum starts. I like the old way or narrow it down to two forum. If i new we need to complain are give my views i would have done. but as always a few whiners got there way.

I like your suggestion Chris. Will give it some thought. The only group voicing their displeasure are the bluetickers. lol I'm happy that after our initial effort to move things around people are being pretty darn good about posting in the correct forum. It hasn't been as painful for us moderators as I thought it would be.

And with all due respect, I can see MycroBlue's point. The people who I would expect to like this format the least are the stud dog promoters. They kind of had a captive audience with the one forum set up. But there is no way that was fair to the average Joe that had a dog or pups for sale. Some of the stud dog threads are basically buddy chat rooms and bump a typical classified to page 3 in a hurry. I don't have a problem with that....let's just put it somewhere else.

I mean it's really not that hard is it? Do you wish to discuss something with others in your breed? Are you looking for a pup? Are you looking for a male to breed to? And if you want to check them all, it's a couple mouse clicks away? So really, do the mouse clicks require too much effort or or eat up too much valuable time? lol

not really complaining other than the forum breed where there are still some that need to be move to the right forum. I will get used to it just like every one else will. At least you are trying to make things better.

Posted by Todd K / UKC on 11-13-2012 03:41 PM:

Yes Clyde. I only went back through five pages of the pup classifieds moving stud ads to the stud classifieds. We will eventually catch up to them all as guys bring them to the top.

Hey, if it doesn't work we'll try something else. This little bit of complaining is nothing compared to what we will get when the next announcement comes. lol

Next announcement? Oh dear. Let me guess, you are moving the Winter Classice from Batesville, MS to Bangor, Maine?

When I started this thread there was nothing else up at that very moment. I was like,"What happened to all the BS"?

I think once it gets all swapped around & where they need'ta be it is just peachy keen!

I have found that once some of the "STUD" owners get in the habit of "BTT'n" multiple times a day I seldom if ever look at'um again.

I will agree fer'sure that those with dawgs forsale where gettin buried if'n they didn't join the "BTT'n" ranks & fairly quik at that. This should as you said Mr Todd help that cause emensely.

Modern technology & changes in it concern some of us cuz it's all been greek since it started..Sorta. Wasn't all that long ago that you didn't know bout anything till Bloodlines,Cooner & Full Cry came out. There was as always that "Word of mouth" thing that came along with the $400+ dollar phone bill every month.

Now we have STUFF at our finger tips from the comfort or our treestands, I mean easy chair. It's not fast 'nuff & gets inconvenient to have to roll the mouse to the side or maybe the labor of pullin it down. We all will adjust & some of us one finger typer's that get confused like I do will come around about the time there's another change.

I just seen on the boob tube that "WE" as a collective group are gettin progressively "DUMBER" or is that "DUMMER"? Modern tech is not creatin the need for the use of parts of our thinkin machines to stock pile or even learn certain things cuz its basically done for us by the ever elusive MOUSE.

Heck,I Use'ta remember phone numbers like a phone book. Had'ta! Now its a matter of swipin your finner & scrollin to Dumpy aposed'ta recallin Dumpy's number outa memory. Thanks to Caller ID we do recognize numbers as they come in partially at least.

I think us that are caused to change aposed to those that grew up with it & learned about it in school,caused us to use ditherent parts of our thinkin machine we maybe didn't hav'ta as much or are we really usin it less?

Beat's the tar blum outa me, but, I think we will all survive & adapt to our level of needin & wantin.

With all that, I got a stand waitin for me to melt the frost & snow off'n the seat along with some 'Ol mongrels that think they should get'ta eat.

"GOOD DAY"

"TT ~ OUT" .....

My wife purchased me a cell phone about 10 years ago. I told her she may as well take it back for I didn't need it for $30 per month. After a few months I thought it was a pretty good piece of equipment. I updated a few times over the years. Last spring she brought home one of those fancy phones about three times larger than the little phone I had. I told her to take it back because I couldn't carry it in my pocket. I ageed to try it for 30 days. I hated it for a couple weeks but wouldn't do without it today. Change often starts out bad but after a bit change may be good. Give the new system a chance.
