22 Crickett rifle...

...anyone using these little guns?
I'm wanting to know about the synthetic stock models with a stainless or blued barrel.
How do they hold up to mud, water and general abuse?
How accurate are they?
Do they have as much kill power as a regular long rifle .22?
What did you pay for yours?
Thanks!

yeah they seem to jam alot. for the money not a bad gun, but cant go wrong with a ruger 10 22 semi,

My 10/22 is a jamming SOB. I have cleaned it and used different ammo. I am to the point I want to throw it in the lake!

mossberg youth model , bolt action with a 10 shot clip, instead of a single shot. I paid 130.00 for mine. I also put a laser on mine, just point and shoot. Works great for us older guys who don't see as well anymore. I'ts as small as a cricket.

im not a 10/22 fan. i have one and its a nice gun. but if im going to use a semi auto i will just use the good ole Marlin.

but when it boils down to it. i will take a single shot

cricket

from what I have seen, used they seem to hold up very well and are pretty accurate. I have one w/ the wood stock. their made
not far from home here..
I also have 1 of the rossi's also a decent lil gun and quite a bit cheaper..

I use one, blued barrel and synthetic stock. Between me taking it hunting and my brother using it for trapping, it takes quite a beating. It holds up very well. I put a scope on mine instead of using the stock sights, so its dead accurate. I shoot 22 long shells by csi and it puts the coon down as good as any other 22 I've used. The only thing I don't like about it, is that its a single shot. paid 100 bucks for it, and probably another 50 for the scope.

The Crickett is a good throwaway gun.

i got hold of a rossi that is the size of a cricket at a trade days it had a 410 and 22 barrel with it i put the 22 barrel on it and a cheap scope shoulder sling on it its light and short you dont have alot of trouble if you have to go through a thicket to get to your dogs because of it being short i shot 22 long rifle in it shot as good as any 22 cal rifle

Bought a Crickett for my son for his 7th Bday. He's now 8 and half. Muskrat, squirrel, rabbitt doesn't matter what brand ammo. My sons put hundreds and hundreds of rounds through it. Blued synthetic, tough as nails. Good price.

I love mine. Have had it about 5 years now. It has the little 4x crickett scope on it. I have never had to re-sight it in. It has even fell off a Polaris ranger at 20 mph, 30 minutes later killed a coon out first shot. Mine is synthetic/blue. Best 99$ iv ever invested. It will jam every now and then, but usually it is because it is dirty.

I have had three. First on I had until the extractor wore out. The second I had until I slipped and fell backworks breaking the stock from the receiver. I used it with the receiver zipped tied to the stock until I finally broke down and bought a new one with synthetic stock. Have a sling on it, throw it over my shoulder and don't hardly know its there. Last two have had red dot scopes. Like shooting chickens in a fenced in yard.. I have only had to throw my Cricket twice.

I have a Cricket that I bought a couple of years ago..No dought its a throw away but it has worked fine and I've shot 50 plus with it without any trouble. It is reasonably accurate and I think my eyes arn't what they used to be at 69 so I do miss a few at times..Certainly no as good as Ruger, Winchester and others but a bargin for under a hundred bucks.

.22

if u wanna gun that'll be there after it falls off the dog box, drop it in the river, use it as a walking cane the get u a marlin i've had mine so covered in mud i just knew it wouldnt eject right but its still poppin them out as for them crickets if u buy cheap brass u better have a sturdy case knife to dig it outta the gun! I've tried the whole grass hopper thing but i aint buyin ammo thats worth more than the gun just to get in the woods to realize i left the key to it at the house
