Anyone rode their dogs while on a bike or is that trouble waiting to happen ?

It's a common sight around here. Many of the Old Order kids bicycle hunt with their dogs.

It's a good plan but I suppose it depends on the dog.

they make bike attachments for it. Sled dog guys do it all the time.

I bicycled with mine last summer, tried using a long lead the first time. Wasn't great but she figured out what to do, after that I just cut her and tried to keep up with her. We both got exercise and she toned up nicely.

Let me tell you a real story.
Me an 4 other over weight older men went on a 6 day hog hunt in GA, we was walking in a mile just to find the hogs, we came out at lunch an Back in till dark an then back out, after the 2nd day we came up with what seemed to be a great idea, we went to Walmart and bought 5 new 10 speed bicycles, well let me tell you something who ever said you never forget how to ride a bike Lied LOL, now every time I see a bicycle my knees hurt and my backside puckers up cause them little seats aren’t made for over weight Old men.

The key word here is KIDS. The worst thing about having a bike wreck as a kid was that stuff grandma put on skinned knees burning. I tried riding a bike a couple of years ago, nothing like I remember it being lol!

Bad outcome

My wife used to take our big ole plott male when she rode her bike with just a leash, until one garbage day morning. A coon was in someone's garbage can on the other side of the road. He crossed in front of her, flipped her bike and knocked her out cold. An old man driving up the road found her. A bad concussion, 16 stitches and a $3,000 hospital bill. Don't do it!!!! Maybe with the right bike attachment but even then I don't think it's safe!!!

I’ve tried it, dogs with a good handle it’s no problem. But if you are using a lead and they decide to stop to use the bathroom and you aren’t paying attention... there is a problem. I’m getting lazy either the 4wheeler or golf cart works better in my opinion.

I was referring to the funny home video show, think it’s still on tv but not sure, it paid $10,000.
