Lol. The dogs don't know or care what registry they hunt in, but one thing is clear 3 out of 4 were mainly hunted in PKC. Why, because they can win money and not just a win slip or title. Look at the really, I mean really good dogs that these dogs beat to get in the final four. I sure hope that those naysayers take a hard look at these facts and quit spouting off about winning without plus points. Two out of the seven top dogs were xbred, this should quite the xbreed junk post. Personally, I see all of this as being very positive for UKC, A HUNT THAT has a big prize will attract the best dogs in the country. Give these younger hunters the rules and prize money to attract them and they will come. I look forward to 2020 when the World Hunt will be in Indiania and the new rules take effect. KUDOS to UKC for ignoring the doomsayers and listening to those that mattered the most. Dave

Yes you can, but if you plan on winning very often or on a higher level, you better not count on doing so. PKC has a winner in every cast, plus, minus or circle even 0 points if it's the best score in that cast. It's due mainly because if the money, they say every cast has to have a winner. Anyone hunting in PKC will attest that you better have the real deal if you expect to win consistently. Dave

only time you can't win with 0 is if you didn't make a tree. In PKC, you have to make a tree to win. Whether its plus or minus of circle.

It dont matter what registry ya hunt a coondog is a coo dog. But I have said it myself pkc y can win with minus points .. never once did I say that they couldnt tree coons..

nope, not if it didn't make a tree. The dog has to make a tree to win. It doesn't matter how it was scored.

Example:

4 dog cast, dogs a,b,c have minus points but d dog never got treed. Dog d can not win the cast if it doesn't get treed during hunt time. I've seen it happen more than once.

I think the gentlemen is confused about the tie-breaking rule that provides if dogs are tied and one dog has a productive tree (plus or circle) that dog will break the tie and win over the dog that does not have a plus or circle tree.

That would be correct. You have to make a legit tree to win. Circle or minus, dog has to make a tree. Didn’t understand it at first. It’s called making forward progress on the dogs part. You will learn lots of things when money is involved. Someone has to win cast.

Then when the boys come across the tracks and make it to the final four and probably win the world hunt it boggles their mind how a non treeing money maker can win another registry world hunt by treeing coons.
