Sec is the walker dog of football. Win everything coming and going. Sometimes somebody else (or breed) has to win one. That's what keeps em coming back.

Just own it SEC rule is on downhill slide.... Hell they struggled in 2 and lost another to big ten... Thats like losing to a three legged one eyed deaf blue dog...... Two of SEC bowl wins were by big 12 castaways..... Which both were constant middle of the pack big 12 and still dominated with their big 12 recruited team.....not judging just saying

The SEC is the same story every year. 1 or 2 great teams and several average and a few pathetic teams. Just like ano other conference.

The only difference in the SEC and others is the fact that they have ESPN networks in their back pocket. 2.5 billion worth that is. Of course they have to preach every year how they are the best.

Hoosier Man1, I don't know, just the way the numbers are.

7 straight BCS Championships, 8 straight BCS CHampionship games (heck one year, both teams were SEC in the BCS Champion game so 9 teams in 8 straight BCS Champsion games.)

Since BCS Championship game was created in 1998, in the 16 games, SEC has played in 11 of the 16 games and gone 9-2 (Auburn and LSU lost).

This past season, I don't think putting 10 teams in bowl games along putting another team in the BCS Championship game and going 7-3 is too shabby.

Though I am SEC fan, I have to give props. My old man is a huge Bama fan, and I told him all season long that no way Bama would be able to handle Florida St...........but something happened along the way - AUBURN.

Do I think SEC losing a BCS Championship game is downhill for SEC? Nope.

I respect what you say. Take Alabama out of the SEC and what does that leave the Southeastern league? Not much

Mushburger said last night this would make 8 championships for the SEC. I coudn't help but laugh. Since when does a team winning mean the whole conference wins also?

Auburn beats Bama. Auburn goes on to win the SEC. Bama gets a bowl game and loses to Oklahoma. Then to add insult to injury, Auburn loses to FSU. SEC is not what it used to be.

Lol... Just like talkin to a liberal.... Talking of the games SEC teams were in when you are SEC and play three big ten teams lose to one and have competitve games in other two... Two of your better teams are big 12 castaways and your two big guns go down the competition is gaining. Admit it or not, spin it however, blinders on for sure SEC weak compared to a few years back.....top to bottom still best I'd say but no longer can you pick any 4 or 5 and figure they could win any other conference...... Not sure Auburn could of won any other major conference this year....

They was the best conference this year and last and a few others in the past decade, it goes in spurts. By nomean have they been the most dominant conference since the bcs and besides 4 of the national cups have been from Alabama. If I was a sec fan I would want all sec teams to loose cept mine so we could have a better chance of recruiting players that r undecided

My question to the Alabama fans would be, did you root for Auburn or Florida State? As a Buckeye fan, I just can't root for Michigan in any game, and I would say, the majority of their fans feel the same way! I got to give the SEC credit, they do win a lot of football games, but for the life of me, I can't understand how 2 former Big 12 teams have come to the SEC and do so well, when they were very average in their old league!

Guys football to me is like hounds. Every good dog (team) has a bad night and every bad dog (team) has a good night. I am glad to see that JFisher did pay attention to the great BBowden in that he and the staff know what to do to get their team on track when it is somewhat derailed. For all you SEC haters 7 in a row ain't to bad and there's always next year to start a new streak.

Just a lil food for thought - Is it not amazing to you though that when AU had the attention with CNewton he won the Heisman and they won the NC just as FSU did this year.

I bet marshall turns out to be a pretty good college qb. crump the sec brings haters on themselves..............they think because a team in their conferense wins the natl chmpnshp they are all outstanding and the truth is that usually the top 2-3 are very good but no better then the top 2-3 in any other big conference, they have just had the BEst overall team for quite some time. guess what, Nebraska won 3 national championships within a 10 year period just as alabama...........from 90-00 I believe there was 4 natnl chmps from big 8 (BIG 12) if not 5. think sec schools only had 2-3 in that stretch...............it goes in spurts and there is alot of good elite programs up north in the big 10 also, that conference will make its run
