Better the bluetick breed?

How can i get information on,or a pup from the best blueticks? My definition of best blueticks is the type that are show quality, get in the dark fast, and get treed fast with a coon in the tree.
Does anyone have the recipe with the right ingredients?
Good ingredients:
1.Loud
2.Fast,cold nosed,winding track dog
3.Stay put tree dog
4.Fairly independent
5.Desire
6.Mild mannered
7.Calm
8.Slick to medium hair
9.Tight feet

Bad ingredients:
1.Mean
2.Lazy
3.Hyper
4.Can't run a track
5.Won't stay treed
6.Wants to pack

Don't want a big dog that bellars all night, and ends up at a den tree,or hole in the ground.

got

2 answers for ya.. If you competition hunt call Warren Sturtz, Will's Creek Blueticks. If your a pleasure hunter only call Ken Adkins, only differences in these lines is Adkins dogs tend to hunt closer... You will no doubt get several different responses to this post.. Best thing to do is go hunt with the parents and grandparents of the pups your interested in.. Also hunt with uncles and aunts if you can locate em. See it with your own eyes....

Try to remember something also. The circumstances and situations can have a HUGE effect on how any particular dog looks in the woods.

Talk to Rance Winn on here..If I were to get a bluetick pup..It would be from him..He aint so hung up and jealous over the other strains of bluedogs like most are..He will breed coondog to coondog..He aint worried about ol so in so's long ears and big head..Aint like most and want outcross because they have had this bloodline so long....I think he is trying to improve the breed myself!!!!!!!!!!

not a bluetick man but that is one good looking dog...if he does as good in the woods as he looks he is definitely a winner!

isnt that a contradiction of what you want? having show quality is not something that hunters want...or so that's what they say. just curious

someone mentioned Rambo and Jet. I have 3 upcoming females that are double/triple rambo and my boys have jet/levi. will be breeding one of them first of the year.

smokin-1-mo,What is your male out of?

Cynthia,I can live without looks if the dog is a "COONDOG",but would like to have both in one dog.Pretty should never be the main breeding determination unless a person just wants a house dog.If the dog is the right kind of coondog, and pretty, then by all means go for it.

Jim,Does Guy still have hounds, and why aren't there more of them scattered around?

Everything you said you like is what he throws. I've tried all the rest and Pounder pups are the best.

Who has young dogs out of Pounder, and are they get gone, accurate coondogs?
